About the Role

Be the person who helps ensure every student gets the support they need to thrive.

At Crookhey Hall School, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to achieve their potential, regardless of the barriers they face. We're looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive Assistant SENCo to join our dedicated team and play a key role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Working closely with our SENCo, you'll be at the heart of our SEND provision, helping to coordinate support, build positive relationships with families and professionals, and ensure students receive the interventions and resources they need to succeed.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with SEND, pastoral, education or school administration experience who wants to develop their career in specialist education while making a meaningful difference every day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the coordination of SEND provision across the school
  • Organising and attending EHCP Annual Reviews and PEP meetings
  • Building positive relationships with students, families, Local Authorities and external agencies
  • Maintaining accurate SEND records and documentation in line with statutory requirements
  • Supporting attendance, Early Help and wider pastoral processes
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure students receive the right support at the right time
  • Helping ensure SEND processes are compliant, effective and student-centred

Who We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting students and understands the importance of strong relationships, organisation and attention to detail.

  • Have experience working within education, SEND, pastoral support or school administration
  • Be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Build positive, trusted relationships with families and external professionals
  • Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion and improving outcomes for students
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence

Knowledge or experience of EHCPs, SEND processes, Annual Reviews, PEPs, attendance or Early Help would be advantageous, although full training and support will be provided.

We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth year running.
